The workers had been complaining about the fact they had to stay overnight in Albuquerque - an hour's drive from the set - and not Sante Fe because production wouldn't pay for their hotels, according to sources cited by The Los Angeles Times and multiple social media posts by film and TV insiders. When they turned up to set to clear their things on Thursday, they found they'd been replaced by locals. It begs the question of who those local workers were, what their training was and to what extent did they check the weapon before handing it to Baldwin, loaded with a live round. Deadline also cites an unnamed source who said a gun had gone off 'in a cabin' while someone was holding it in a cabin. 'A gun had two misfires in a closed cabin. They just fired loud pops - a person was just holding it in their hands and it went off,' they said.

Joe Biden has disappointed Americans more than any other president since World War II has at this point in their term, a new Gallup poll released Friday appears to show. The newest data come from a survey taken from October 1 - 19 and compares Biden's average approval rating across the first three quarters of his term against every president since Dwight Eisenhower. Biden lost a whopping 11. 3 percentage points from his first quarter approval of 56 percent to an average of 44.7 percent at the end of the three months spanning late July through October. His former boss Barack Obama saw the second-largest dip in average approval, losing 10.1 percent from his first through third quarters. Donald Trump, the only post-WWII president whose approval rating is lower than Biden's at this point, saw a smaller drop of just 4.4 percent after having started with low expectations. Independents appear to be driving down Biden's favorability the most, from 61 percent approval at the beginning of February to just 34 percent in October.

'The answer is yes,' the president said, asked if he would send in the guard to alleviate supply chain issues that are leading to product shortages and rampant inflation. ALISON BOSHOFF: For once, Alec Baldwin has been felled by a disaster which is not at all of his own making. Who knows how awful he must be feeling after what appears to have been a terrible accident, resulting in the death of one colleague and the wounding of another. There is nothing to suggest that the actor, 63, was in any way at fault - but this is not the first time he has been caught up in a controversy.

'If Baldwin or another person was negligent, a civil suit is almost a no-brainer at this point -- a very high likelihood,' said attorney Jamie White, who has experience in criminal defense and civil suits.

One image (top left), which was taken in Limehouse, East London, shows the then well-known Mrs Mary Smith carrying out her work as a knocker upper: someone who earned money waking up industrial workers so they got to their shifts on time. Also seen is one of a little girl tentatively holding a lizard (top right) which has just arrived in a shipment of reptiles at Tilbury Docks, in Essex. A third photo (bottom left), taken in 1933, shows a man in a smart shirt and tie proudly holding up two enormous sponges from the Mediterranean which he is looking to sell the Port of London Authority (PLA)'s Cutler Street warehouse. Do you think of Florida as just one big theme park? Think again. With secret islands and sweeping expanses of wilderness, it's a place where you can really get back to nature, and where you're more likely to see a pelican or heron than a cartoon duck. Not only that, the Sunshine State has a wealth of historic towns and cultural cities, and miles of sandy shores. And as UK tourists are allowed to return from next month, it makes the perfect place for winter sun. Moment 'judo giraffe' floors older rival with a martial arts-style 'throw' as they battle over a female in South Africa

A giraffe was filmed using an unusual martial arts-style 'throw' against a rival, in a battle over a female at Kariega Game Reserve in South Africa. The footage, recorded in 2018 but only recently circulated on social media, shows one of the not-so-gentle giants toppling to the arid earth, after having its leg pulled out from under it by a younger competitor. Wayne Howarth, 31, who has worked as a tour guide at Kariega for 11 years, said he had never seen giraffes use the manoeuvre in a fight before. The downed giraffe got back to its feet and shuffled away with only its pride damaged.

The stunning mosaic flooring was designed with tiny yellow, red and orange tiles and includes inscriptions written in ancient Greek. The Church of the Apostles was destroyed in 725 AD by a hurricane. Archaeologists believe they found the ruins in 2019 and recently found mosaic flooring that suggests it was a church of importance - the text talks about the structure being renovated. Not only could the find prove the existence of the legendary church, but it would lead the team to the location of the home of Jesus' famed apostles Peter (right bottom) and Andrew (left bottom) - the Church of the Apostles was said to have been built atop of their residence.
